Behind this boutique are two Millies — a grandmother who found joy in giving, and a granddaughter whose life was short but left an everlasting legacy of love. Together, they left behind a legacy that continues to inspire this journey.
My mother, Millie, was what I would lovingly call a shopaholic. She loved to shop, loved finding something special, and most of all, loved giving those treasures to the people she loved. Her generosity, thoughtfulness, and love were boundless.
My granddaughter was only with us for eight days, but those precious days changed us forever and left a love that will never fade.
After losing them both, God placed a vision on my heart: to create something beautiful in their honor — something that could bring joy to others while creating hope for families walking through some of life's most difficult moments.
That vision became Millie's Pearls & Pirates.
The pearls represent the beauty, love, and preciousness of the people we carry in our hearts.
The pirates represent adventure — the courage to keep going, to search for treasures even after life takes an unexpected turn, and to find purpose in places we never expected.
Millie's Pearls & Pirates will donate a portion of its proceeds to the Millie's Pearls of Hope Foundation, allowing every purchase to become part of something bigger than a boutique.
The Millie's Pearls of Hope Foundation was created to provide support, compassion, and hope to families who have experienced the loss of a newborn, as well as families navigating a NICU journey. Our hope is to come alongside these families during some of life's most difficult moments and remind them that they are not alone.
